enlitement is logo for our time.

enlitement is based on the 18th century concept of the Enlightenment by philosophers like Immanuel Kant.*
They saw remarkable cultural changes characterized by [...] a turn towards human rights,
science, rational thoughts and the replacement of theocracies and autocracies with democratic republics.
The Enlightenment was also marked by the rise of capitalism and the wide availability of printed materials.
The French Encyclopédie combined free-thinking articles with technological information. (c.f. Wikipedia).

enlitement owes its new style to the guiding force of a globilsed economy rooted in the days of early capitalism.
enlitement follows the traces of an 'evolution' that defines everything and everyone as resource,
engages in self-colonisation as well as the colonisation of nano-, micro- and macroworlds
and could lead to a renaissance of the feudal within capitalist market structures
powered by the desires for security and consumption.

enlitement embodies incorporation.
Its lucid dilution shines through ever present markets.
Constituting the future, it is the real behind virtual power structures.

* "Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding without the guidance of another. This immaturity is self-incurred if its cause is not lack of understanding, but lack of resolution and courage to use it without the guidance of another. The motto of enlightenment is therefore: Sapere aude! Have courage to use your own understanding!" – Immanuel Kant, in: What is Enlightenment?, 1783.
